The Venue

The Empire Theatre is Toowoomba’s premier stage and music venue. Originally opened in June 1911 as a silent movie theatre, The Empire has undergone multiple redevelopments and remains Australia’s largest regional theatre.

Our Scope

Changes to universal access requirements and foyer operations triggered significant upgrades to the Empire Theatre Toowoomba.

Setting Line have provided advice, direction and specifications for new seats, new auditorium drapes and foyer bars, dressing rooms, green rooms and other back stage spaces as well as many technical infrastructure upgrades.

These will provide significant improvements for venue patrons of all abilities, performers and commercial operations.
